We have determined that a variety of issues/errors with Tribes 2 are a result of a corrupted installation. The attached utility verifies a clean install of the game files and verifies the files were copied correctly. If some files come back as Failed, click the Copy Files button to overwrite the bad install files; the utility will NOT do this automatically.
NOTE: It will be necessary to uninstall and reinstall Tribes 2 prior to starting the Tribes 2 First Aid utility. To do this:
-Click START, select PROGRAMS, select DYNAMIX, select TRIBES2, and select UNINSTALL TRIBES2.
-Select CUSTOM and click NEXT
-Click SELECT all and click NEXT, repeat with each subsequent screen.
-Click FINISH. Tribes will uninstall.
Next, verify the Tribes 2 folder has been removed. To do this:
-Double-click the MY COMPUTER icon
-Double-click the hard drive, usually "C"
-Double-click the DYNAMIX folder, if there is a Tribes 2 Folder located here, click once to highlight and click the DELETE key (on the keyboard).
-Next, reinstall Tribes 2. Once the installation is completed, DO NOT start Tribes 2. Double-click the Tribes 2 First Aid utility. If some files come back as Failed, click the Copy Files button to overwrite the bad install files; the utility will NOT do this automatically.
