It has come to my attention that despite my best efforts, there are a number of coherent and/or intelligent posts on these forums. I have therefore written these hints on using the forums more effectively.
1) More than 100 words = no way.
Posts with too many words are not worthy of your time. You should respond to such threads with comments like "OMG, ESSAY!" and "TOO LONG ARGH!!!!".
2) Not level 60? You may not have an opinion.
Any players who aren't level 60 haven't been playing the game long enough to have a valuable opinion, regardless of the message topic. You should respond to posts by players of a lesser level with comments such as "HAHAHAHA, says the level 40!", or "Play to 60 and then you will know". If a player claims they are posting on an alt, then flame them for that, you don't need a reason.
3) Exclamation marks + broken shift key = good post.
To really be taken seriously on the forums, you must use your keyboard and knowledge of abbreviations to its full potential. For example, if you're posting a well-writen piece on why you believe shamans may be overpowered, you should it something like "OMG TeH Sh4man needz0rs NERFSTIcK BliZZ11!!!11!!!1111"
4) Post in general.
You should post everything in general, because nobody reads the other forums, especially not Blizzard.
5) Draw community moderator's attention to your posts.
You are very important, and it is vital that a Blizzard representative read all of your posts. Therefore, you should make sure you include the word "BLUE", "GM", "BLIZZARD" or best of all "OMG BLIZZARD BLUE READ!!!!" in the title of every post, since there is no chance that a Blizzard representative could possibly notice it otherwise.
6) Play the age card before somebody else does.
If you're participating in an argument with another well-respected member of the community, be sure to ask them "OMG, HOW OLD ARE YOU?" at the earliest opportunity. This is of course highly relevant regardless of the argument in question, and will preempt your opponent from using the same tactic.
7) Make obvious spelling errors.
Make as many spelling errors in your post as possible. Some mispellings, such as spelling "the" as "teh" are obligatory, and you should use them each time such a word occurs.
8) Ask for nerfs while lamenting uselessness of your own class.
You should post occasionally lamenting the uselessness of your own class. You can do this by picking an obvious feature that your class is without, for example, classes which don't receive free mounts can complain about that, and melee classes can complain about their lack of ranged stuns. You should then post about how another class should be nerfed by picking their best ability and posting about how it is too good, whilst exaggerating greatly, and asking for it to be nerfed. Examples of good titles for such nerf threads are:
"OMG 3 rogues killed me with teh stun!"
"Sheeped by mage for 14 minutes!!!1111"
"Warrior executed me for 216,000 damage from full health!"
"TEH PALLY shield for 10 minutes and laugh at me OH TEH NOES!!!!"
9) Tactics are an EXPLOIT.
Any tactics, especially those which you don't fully understand are an EXPLOIT of game mechanics, so you should include the word EXPLOIT in your thread title. This includes tactics like slowing you down with frost shock, a paladin healing whilst shielded, or using items in PVP, especially protection potions.
I hope that following these simple rules will allow you to post more constructively in future.
